Question & Answer Night - 18th September
Monday, 08 September 2008

ImageSMiSA will be holding a Question & Answer night with St. Mirren FC on Thursday, 18th September in the Barony Suite of the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.

As part of the evening’s proceedings, the club have been invited to make a presentation on the new stadium, which the trust understands the club’s general manager Brian Caldwell will be making.  Gus MacPherson will be on hand to take questions on team affairs, as well as club Chairman Stewart Gilmour.

Tickets for the evening, which starts at 7pm, are now on sale at Provan Sports, Causeyside St. Paisley, at the price of £3 per person.  SMiSA members will be receiving a postcard invitation to the event and can pay at the door on the night, on production of their postcard, at a reduced price of £2.

These events are always well-attended and are a rare opportunity to put questions direct to those in charge of the club, so make sure to get a ticket as soon as possible!

After what was a disappointing result and performance in Saints’ final home Saturday game of the season in being held to a goalless draw against Gretna, SMiSA held its 2008 Player of the Year night this past Saturday on the 10th of May at Suburbia in Shuttle St Paisley.

The event was, as last year’s, well-attended by players including Hugh Murray, Ian Maxwell, David Van Zanten, Gary Mason, Will Haining, Andy Dorman, Billy Mehmet, Craig Dargo & Franco Miranda among many others, as well as the management team of Gus MacPherson & Andy Millen.

Saints Aid 7 - Player Change + Event Itinerary
Wednesday, 14 May 2008

ImageIn an unfortunate turn of events, one of our bidders has had to pull out of Saints Aid 7, this Sunday.  Mark Syme, who was due to play in the Home #5 position, has suffered an injury and won't be able to play as a result.  His place will be taken by Alan Wardrop, who has generously offered to match Mark's bid of £300.

Everyone at SMiSA would like to wish Mark all the best in his recovery, and thank Alan for taking up the place.

We have also compiled an event itinerary for the players so that they know what to expect this Sunday.  For full information, please click the 'Read More' button.

Saints Aid 7 - Competition Winners
Friday, 09 May 2008

ImageToday SMiSA can confirm that the competitions for the remaining places in Saints Aid 7, which will take place on Sunday May 18th, have had their winners drawn.

The Paisley Daily Express competition for the home 12 shirt was won by Stuart Baungally.  As Stuart had already bought the home 14 place in the event, he has kindly donated that #14 jersey on to Duncan Johnston, so he can take up his #12 one.

The Official Site competition for the away 12 shirt, was won by Graeme Ogg, and the Black & White Army.com competition for the away 14 shirt, was won by "Frank McGarvey' wonky legs".

SMiSA would like to thank the PDE, the official site and B&W Army.com, for all their help in publicising what should be a great event on the 18th of May, as well as everyone who entered the 3 competitions.  We would also of course, like to offer our congratulations to the 3 lucky winners and wish them a happy & enjoyable time on the 18th.
