SMiSA wishes to announce that the trust's AGM will be held this Saturday, November 1st from 11:45am until 2pm, before the game against Hibs at Penny Lane (formerly known as Suburbia), Shuttle St, Paisley.
Members should have received a copy of the annual accounts for the year ended 30th November 2007 via post, and these will be presented to the membership for acceptance at the meeting.
The meeting will as in past years, take place in 2 halves with the first to deal with trust affairs, before it is joined by members of St. Mirren FC's board for a general open debate during the second.
Members are also reminded that they can bring along a guest to attend the meeting if they wish.
Question & Answer Night - 18th September
Monday, 08 September 2008
SMiSA will be holding a Question & Answer night with St.
Mirren FC on Thursday, 18th September in the Barony Suite of the
Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew.
As part of the evening’s proceedings, the club have been
invited to make a presentation on the new stadium, which the trust understands
the club’s general manager Brian Caldwell will be making. Gus MacPherson will be on hand to take
questions on team affairs, as well as club Chairman Stewart Gilmour.
Tickets for the evening, which starts at 7pm, are now on sale at Provan Sports, Causeyside St.
Paisley, at the price of £3 per person. SMiSA members will be receiving a postcard invitation to the event and
can pay at the door on the night, on production of their postcard, at a reduced
price of £2.
These events are always well-attended and are a rare
opportunity to put questions direct to those in charge of the club, so make
sure to get a ticket as soon as possible!
SMiSA Player of the Year Event 2008
Friday, 16 May 2008
After what was a disappointing result and performance in
Saints’ final home Saturday game of the season in being held to a goalless draw
against Gretna, SMiSA held its 2008
Player of the Year night this past Saturday on the 10th of May at
Suburbia in Shuttle St Paisley.
The event was, as last year’s, well-attended by players
including Hugh Murray, Ian Maxwell, David Van Zanten, Gary Mason, Will Haining, Andy Dorman, Billy Mehmet,
Craig Dargo & Franco Miranda among many others, as well as the management team of Gus
MacPherson & Andy Millen.
In an unfortunate turn of events, one of our bidders has had to pull out of Saints Aid 7, this Sunday. Mark Syme, who was due to play in the Home #5 position, has suffered an injury and won't be able to play as a result. His place will be taken by Alan Wardrop, who has generously offered to match Mark's bid of £300.
Everyone at SMiSA would like to wish Mark all the best in his recovery, and thank Alan for taking up the place.
We have also compiled an event itinerary for the players so that they know what to expect this Sunday. For full information, please click the 'Read More' button.
