I have been a St.Mirren for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories were sitting with my Dad in the Main Stand watching the planes take-off over the Caledonia Street end. This was pre-Fergie time and I think the quality of the fare on offer at the time was not the best.

Anyway Fergie arrived and ever since I have been on a footballing rollercoaster, which of course is what supporting the Saints is all about.  I was lucky to be at the Anglo Scottish Cup Final, the Scottish Cup Final of '87 and the Liverpool Centenary game at Love Street. My only European venture (if you don't count the Isle of Man) was to Mechelen for the Cup Winners Cup game.  I just hope that one day that we can savour European football again as there are so many Saints fans out there that have never had the opportunity.

Prior to being asked to join SMiSA as Treasurer in 2002, I was co-editor of the St.Mirren fanzine Saints Quarterly. SQ was great because it brought me into contact with a lot of Saints fans who I had never met before.  Similarly and probably even more SMiSA has introduced me to a great wealth and depth of people who have St Mirren in their hearts and give up so much of their valuable spare time to help St Mirren the football club progress.
