I have been following the buddies since the mid 70’s so I don’t really know what life would be like without St.Mirren. It’s been suggested to me once or twice I should try it and then maybe I would have a life but I quickly came to the conclusion there are about 3 billion women on the planet …………… but only one St.Mirren.

Never intended to be involved as much as I have with this but following the first attempt in season 99-00 to form SMiSA, one that never really got moving the way it needed to I felt a responsibility to offer whatever I could to take this forward when the need to do so arose two seasons later.

Like all the guys involved this was new to me. We have all been learning from day one and the truth is we’re still learning. The administration side of the Trust is not the most exciting by any means (understatement!) but it falls into the ‘must be done’ category and if nothing else allows the others to get on with the more rewarding aspects.

Likes: The ‘idea’ of community football clubs. Saints fans working together. Seeing the team tour Paisley in open top buses.

Hates: Apathy towards St.Mirren. Mistreatment of St.Mirren fans. Saints shirts that are not black, white or red (keepers kit aside). Lack of leadership in Scottish football. Admission prices at games, especially for kids.

Wants:

  • On the park - to see St.Mirren back among the top clubs in Scotland and competing in Europe on a regular basis.

  • Off the park – Saints fans genuinely involved in all aspects and at all levels of our community club.
