It has recently been brought to SMiSA's attention that the gravestone of St. Mirren legend, top goalscorer and Hall of Fame inductee Davie McCrae has fallen into disrepair due to weathering over the years.
The SMiSA board believe it is in the best interest of everyone connected with the club to offer cleaning and repair of Davie's gravestone as a continued reminder of our thanks following an illustrious career with St. Mirren.
We have taken initial steps in making contact with the family of Davie McCrae in order for us to ask for permission to provide cleaning services. Unfortunately, no records of any immediate family have been found.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask anyone who is or knows a relative of Davie McCrae to please contact the board through [email protected].
